Student Deals Lab starts with official vendor evidence before labeling any student discount as confirmed. Useful sources include pricing pages, student or education pages, help-center articles, terms pages, verification-platform pages, and official announcements from the vendor or platform operating the offer.

How pages are classified

Each page separates self-serve student discounts, institution-provided access, third-party verification offers, discontinued programs, account-dependent offers, and unverified coupon claims. A discount is not marked as confirmed just because a coupon site or search result says it exists.

Page-level evidence

Tool pages list the official sources used for that page. When a page relies on only one current public source, the conclusion is written more conservatively. When current official sources conflict with older online claims, the older claim is treated as stale unless the vendor confirms it again.

Corrections

Corrections can be sent to [email protected]. A useful correction includes the Student Deals Lab page URL, the official source URL, and a short note explaining what changed. We prioritize corrections involving price, eligibility, verification, renewal, expiration, or discontinued programs.

Update process

When a correction changes the evidence, we update the affected page, revise the recommendation, and refresh the last-reviewed date. If a claim cannot be verified from current public sources, the page will say so rather than presenting the claim as fact.
